Mea Monique is an attorney currently working in criminal law. She has worked in other fields of law including immigration, family, and corporate law. When she is not working as an attorney, she is working as a romance author.

Her creative plans do not end at being an author. She plans to pursue screenwriting in addition to writing books.

Her first book, The Grim Reaper’s Lawyer, was released in 2022 and jump started her career as an author. The Grim Reaper’s Lawyer was the #1 Release on Amazon and was ranked #21 in Multicultural & Interracial Romance, #30 in Multicultural Romances, and #52 in Paranormal Romance in the months following its release.

TGRL was nominated for the It’s Lit Literary Awards under the Best Black Paranormal/Fantasy and the Best Interracial Romance by Black Author categories. Because of this book, she was nominated for the AAMBC Awards for Breakout Author of the Year.

She has also released a sports romance novella called The Writer’s Block (TWB) which was nominated for the It’s Lit Literary Awards under the Best Black Sports Romance category.
